In the summer of 2000 my eye fell on an add where a CB- operator was offering his PA for sale. After some negotiation I was able to buy a *mint* condition RF-130 for a very reasonable price. This particular radio originally came from an American off-shore oil-production platform on the North Sea. There was a second radio on-board of the companies' tender-vessel - I managed to acquire that one only months later.
The RF-130 has the following specifications:
- 1 Kilowatt continuous output power
- solid-state (except final stage 2*4CX250 + 2*4CX1500!)
- covers 2 - 30 Mc, synthesized,10 Hz resolution
- AM, LSB, USB, FM, CW, RTTY
The RF-130 consists of the following 19"modules:
- RF-1310 100mWatt exciter
- RF-110a 40dB power amplifier
- RF-124 230V/15Amp power-supply
PA-stage (2*4CX1500!)
