The best part of this radio was the trip to the Eiffel collecting it. I spotted this beautiful transmitter on www.ebay.de, and found out it was being offered by the son of an OM who had gone silent key. Collecting the radio was a very pleasant experience. My youngest son Ewout joined me on the journey to a small town in the German Eiffel. It was a beautiful day sometime august 2005 when we went out there, to find the radio in an old shack somewhere behind a big farmhouse. There was a lot more radio-equipment present, like a nice SK-050. Too bad it did not fit in my trailer the same time as the SK-1 ....
